Elliptical Cardio Climber Comparison: In-Depth Guide

If you’re thinking of building out your home gym, have you considered a cardio climber? While most home fitness advocates opt for the standard when building their home gym - indoor cycle bikes, treadmills, or ellipticals - a cardio climber just might be the elevated workout experience you didn’t know you needed.

What is a Cardio Climber?

Cardio climbers are cardio machines designed to mimic hiking or uphill motion. If you’re looking for a crazy good full-body low-impact workout, cardio climbers are the answer.

Each stride is nice and smooth, similar to the striding feel you experience when using an elliptical. The set incline automatically ups your calorie burn and muscle activation during your workout.

Your entire body will work overtime - pushing and pulling to make your way uphill. That means your full body is working - your calves, hamstrings, quads, glutes, core, chest, back, shoulders, triceps, and biceps are at work!

These machines are great for an intense workout in a compact package. Since your movement is more vertical these machines take up a relatively small space in comparison to other workout machines.

Plus, they’re perfect for all users from beginners to advanced. We have tons of workouts to help you work up to a full routine on your cardio climber. And when you’re ready these machines have all the resistance you need to make your workout more challenging!

Is a Cardio Climber an Elliptical?

Yes, a cardio climber is a specialized elliptical that has a set increased angle. Each stride is nice and smooth, just like the striding feel you experience when using a standard elliptical. The set incline automatically ups your calorie burn and muscle activation during your workout.

FEATURES

The Performance Cardio Climber is our base-level model. This compact cardio climber was built with tight spaces in mind, so even if you’re living in a small apartment or don’t have much room in your home for workout equipment, this cardio climber will be a great fit!

It offers full-motion handlebars and non-slip footplates to make your climb feel comfortable and natural. With 8 levels of adjustable magnetic resistance, make your workout easier or harder with the twist of the knob. And trust me with these cardio climbers it gets spicy real fast with the incline and resistance combined, so you’ll be thankful for the option to take that intensity down too!

SIZE & FIT

The most important thing to keep in mind when considering a compact item like this one is will it be a good fit for your space, and those using it? First, check your space, this item is 42L x 23W x 60.5H in and weighs 69.3LB. You’ll want to be sure you have at least 1 foot of space on all sides of your machine when operating to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.

As far as if the climber is a good fit for you, this climber offers a weight capacity of 220LBs. You’ll want to make sure you fit within the weight capacity for the longevity of your product as well as a stable, comfortable workout experience.

This climber also has a stride length of 9 inches, and a combined climb height of 7 inches vertical, 5 inches horizontal. These factors combine to make a smooth stride. When it comes to the stride itself, this stride will offer a good fit for users on the shorter side, but for taller users, you’ll want to be able to open that stride for the best experience so you may be more comfortable on the Pro or Premium Climber.
